Index of physical effort for mountain excursions

We do our best to provide the best information possible, which is why we have developed and adopted a specific difficulty scale for those who rely on the professionals we work with for guidance.

The activities that we offer on crusoe.travel, carried out in collaboration with certified professionals differ from each other based on the characteristics of the following parameters:

  • type of terrain
  • overall length
  • degree of physical commitment
  • duration
  • height difference
  • degree of slope
  • altitude above sea level

The classification index that we use is based on a system that takes into account all these factors, for each individual section of the route so as to offer you an easy-to-understand tool to compare the scheduled excursions with respect to your state of preparation.

It is important to note that in a mountain environment, climate, weather conditions and the time of the activity (sunset, night, etc.) can affect the level of difficulty of the excursion.

We take your safety very seriously and we would like you to participate in the excursions that are suitable for your training: that's why you will personally receive a contact from us and together we will evaluate your experience and equipment: this is our added value!
